By the Pond, 2024

Born from a summer plein air session, “By the Pond” is a reflection on nature’s tranquil, unhurried rhythm. The painting explores the contrast between the deep, quiet waters and the tactile, tactile presence of blooming water lilies.

Working with thick oil paint and layered textures, I aimed to capture not just the visual scene, but the sensory experience of standing by the water - the warmth of July air, the gentle shift of light, and the timeless stillness of nature.
