«On the Threshold of Seasons» is an original oil painting capturing the subtle and poetic beauty of nature's transition, as departing summer warmth meets the cooling autumn earth.
The inspiration came from a lush garden hydrangea bush that delights with its bloom from late summer straight through the cold weather. Instead of a traditional still life in a vase, I wanted to convey the living breath of flowers in their natural environment.
Created with a palette knife, the piece features bold, dimensional strokes that build a rich texture, reflecting the play of sunlit highlights and the coolness of the autumn soil. It is a mood painting filled with the atmosphere of nature coming to rest and a deep inner peace.
A wonderful addition to a contemporary interior, carrying the warmth and harmony of living nature.
